what is coaching?

Coaching, mentoring, counselling?  There are many ways of improving our wellbeing by gaining greater insight into who we are and what we want out of life.  I see coaching as a way of focussing in on what we really want out of life, understanding why and then working out how to get there. 

Coaching isn’t counselling although in my experience coaching conversations often unearth questions and insight from our past.  And that’s ok.  I will support you in finding the right path for seeking support in addition to coaching if that would be helpful.

 

How can coaching help?

 

Life, love and the universe!  Many of us find ourselves, at various points in our lives, asking questions about who we are, what we’ve done, where we want to go, who we want to be.  Coaching can help focus in on specific goals or it can offer the chance to step back and survey the bigger picture.

Working together we can clarify the important things you want to change, embrace or develop and structure a coaching programme to help you move forward. It can sometimes feel like hard work but I’ll be with you every step of the way.

I believe coaching has the power to transform how we think of ourselves, our relationships, our career aspirations. And the good news?  I believe we often have the answers within us and that coaching can help us discover the change we want to make.

Working with a positive psychology, solutions focussed approach we will look at where you are now and where you want to get to.  What’s stopping you getting there? What do you want out of life?  Who do you want to be?  All big questions but important to ask and using coaching tools we can work together to help you answer them.
